Second, check the roots and make sure it’s not root bound or root rotted. The more complicated issue could be a boron deficiency. Since it’s brand new to you, there was no way for you to know this. If a plant experiences stress it will draw nutrients to help itself survive. Most case just clip off the damaged leaf.
