Hi! I need help! Anyone know anything about Majestic Palms??? I’ve only had it about a month. It looked great when I first got it but it is slowly turning brown everywhere and I don’t understand why. It has plenty of sun and I’m only watering when the app says too.

The app schedule is a helpful reminder but don’t water just because it says to. Check the soil, if the first 2” are still moist, wait a few days and check again. I think if the leaves are turning brown despite all the light, there’s a chance the roots are sitting in too much water and causing root rot. I think they are fairly hardy - mine was indoors during winter and I’ve moved it outside. I’ve let it go a long time without watering

Yours looks great! I live in Iowa with a temperamental Mother Nature in the spring time. One day it’s 80 degrees, the next it’s snowing so outside living for mine isn’t possible unfortunately.

I had one. They are a persnickety plant. I had mine right next to the humidifier and under a grow light and she still got brown leaves from time to time. They are prone to spider mites.

Majesty Palms get Spider Mites really easily. Check on the underside of the leaves and see if there are tiny webs with little white dots moving around.

I did once but maybe I missed them. I’ll take a look again. Thanks!

That was it! I saw a small web so started spraying. As soon as I did I could see those suckers all over the poor guy! Must have taken a bit as I didn’t see anything before. Thank you!!!

That has definitely happened to me before! Try to wipe them off too, I’ve found that sometimes works better than just the spray. Then also you might have to do a few treatments a few days later before they are gone, they sometimes come back
