I’d guess a pest, although not sure which so I’m not sure how to treat! Make sure to isolate it from the rest of your plants if you haven’t already ☺️

The size is right, but because I’m not seeing any webbing, I’m thinking it’s aphids. I would use a spray that’s a mixture of neem oil and peppermint Castile soap or an insecticidal soap spray. They’re often treated outdoors with a strong spray of water, but that might be difficult with how delicate string of pearls are, so perhaps try running it under water, then spraying. And this might sound a little silly, but if you spot a ladybug outside, bring it in. They eat aphids! Hope this helps!

I think spider mites but the suggestions above would still work. I also regularly lint roll my plant when I need to treat against spider mites
