It could be a few different things, not all are necessarily harmful. You can water with hydrogen peroxide (1 part hydro to 5 parts water) to be safe and also bring air to the roots. Just a side note, these guys are very susceptible to meal bugs so I’d also precautionary treat with a pesticide like neem oil (I’m sure everyone is tired of seeing me talking about hydrogen peroxide waterings lmfaoo💀)
2개 좋아요I'll try this. I've never used hydrogen peroxide before. Thanks for the help!
0개 좋아요You’re welcome! Hydrogen peroxide also kills any larva or insects in the soil (I use it as a treatment for gnats), so it aerates the roots and kills pests. If you’re worried it’s some type of larva, you can always take it out of the pot, shake off the white stuff, clean the pot and add new soil Do you keep the plant outside?
0개 좋아요It’s fungus. The spores grow with moisture and the organic matter in the soil. Clear pots let in sunlight that helps both the fungus and that green algae grow. It’s not harmful. Drop the pot in another pot to block the sun. I use ceramic outer pots. Treat with a fungicide to clear.
