Ya’ll i need help. She’s a ‘Pink Allusion’ Arrowhead and i THOUGHT that the veins were just pink but i noticed the other leaves and the pink they have in the vein area, this isn’t pink it’s more brown… I have a plant light right above her and a few other plants, so i’m thinking wayy to much light where it’s direct light on her. I just watered her yesterday after waiting days until her soil was, not completely dry, but dry enough to water again. If anybody has any ideas please let me know!

    I don’t think that’s too much sun, I think it’s overwatered maybe? I have the white butterfly arrowhead and I put her outside in directly sunlight and she loves it! However normally she’s just by the window and she’s flourishing. Plant lights are ok to be directly on plants all day, at least I’ve never had any issues. But idk girl it sounds like you’re watering properly!!

      See that’s what’s odd to me! I took her away from the light for now and now she’s in natural lighting instead, to see if that would help! I’m doing my best to water her the right way! I may follow through with changing her potting mix medium, i made a better draining one when i started to get other plants that needed it! She was already mine before i made the new mix!

      Another thing i didnt mention, i havent had my humidifier running, could that be the problem also?!?

      Hmmm I mean MAYBE? I do have a humidifier I like to keep on all my plants in that area, but I don’t think the arrowheads “need” it the way some do. It really sounds like you’re doing everything right! But it is odd the veins do have a brown tint. The leaves themselves look beautiful still tho 😍

      Also I’m starting to wonder if you have the same one I do lol I had to look up pink allusion and there’s supposed to be a lot of pink in there! Very interesting

      Thank you love! I’m just like you in the aspect of being a newer plant momma! But i’m doing a lot of the houseplants much different from my first go around where i bought too many and didnt keep myself educated on ANY and the first set of houseplants all died off! Now i have a completely different set up for all of them and they’ve looked beautiful since day 1! Such an exciting hobby! And a calming one too! Just set a little worry in me when i saw that! Will deffinitely keep a close eye on her to make sure it’s just her colors coming out! Thank you by the way! ❤️

    It’s probably not the light. I have a pink illusion that gets bright indirect light from a northeast window. The veins looked pink when it is doing well. The recently got dark, closer to a brown color, when it was too dry. Too little or too much water darkens both the veins and leaves from my experience.

      Yours look beautiful! I took the precautions just incase it was some type of problem in her! But it looks a bit like yours color! Possibly nothing to worry about! Thank you! It’s people like the both of you that help a lot in giving my girl a bit of hope! Thank you! ❤️
