Hello!! Any and all advice and observations of my 2 year old orchid is so appreciated and welcomed! It's 2 leaves began showing signs of discoloration ~60 days ago and I hate seeing it progress into what look like a burn. Since doing some research on the initial discoloration, I have switched from hard water to rain water but I am seeking more advice on what my next steps should be to preserve the plant. It lives outdoors, in the shade, on my patio in Florida. Thank you for reading!! 🌿

    Yeah it looks like it just got burned. The leaves that are burned won’t improve but you can leave them on and either it will dry up and fall off or it will stop dying and just be fine like that. I had a leaf with a huge burn hole that stayed like that forever just fine. The leaves on the other side still look great so just keep it happy and it’ll grow new ones to replace them.

    Yep, definitely sunburn. Give it less light and high humidity. Water it more often than usual to help it recover. That'll definitely scar. You should leave the damaged leaves on for now (you could remove them if it was less than a third of the plant.) They can still photosynthesize, they're just going to look rough until they age out
