Mushrooms growing in my soil! I’ve had this plant for almost a year and has been doing good. From all the signs, I’m assuming I’ve been over watering. I’m pretty conscious of soil moisture and I even use a meter but for some reason this plant has been giving me trouble. It was all fine until a month ago when it started producing lots of small pale leaves and wasn’t drinking as much water. It is just slowly dying? Should I repot with fresh soil? Are the mushrooms bad?

Ya, I did some research and realized that. But it’s my only plant that’s not doing well and it’s the only one with mushrooms. Planta said it was overwatered and that I should repot with fresh soil. I just didn’t know if the mushrooms were a result of overwatering or not.

Nerve plants stay nervous. Barely damp was the only way mine would accept life. They bounce back almost immediately and look dead again just as fast. Don’t let this one make you think you’re bad at plants. It’s actually just bad at… being. Maybe I’m biased lol. Mushrooms will grow in soil that stays too wet too long, so just make sure it has drainage and isn’t sitting in water. Your soil is healthy if you have mushrooms so no worries there. You can pick out the mushrooms if you want, I don’t think it matters much

Looks more like a zebra plant to me. Either way - also very dramatic

Ok ya I’ve heard they can be dramatic haha. I also heard they only live a few years. Is that true??
