I need some help with my beloved variegated Hoya compacta. It was on my plant stand under the grow light that came with the stand, far away from a north facing window. I used Planta’s recommended watering schedule as a guideline of when to check the pot for dryness and would only water if the bamboo stick was dry. Fast forward to the last 2-3 weeks. I noticed the bottom leaves keep yellowing and then shriveling up. I looked at the roots - they were fine, but the soil seemed compacted at the bottom, so I put the repotted in a nursery pot with soil mix that drains well. I also moved it to my north facing windowsill. Unfortunately, none of the seems to be helping as I noticed two more leaves yellowing. Checked the root ball again today, seems fine. No pests seen either. Does it need a grow light with higher wattage? Need different soil? Something else? With fall quickly approaching, I know the natural Sunlight will decrease in my home, so I want to get this taken care of.
