Please help, this is my first encounter with mealy bugs! Any tips and suggestions are appreciated! Enjoy the scary slideshow šŸ«£ This monstera is my favorite plant (donā€™t tell my pothos collection) and I found a mealy bug! šŸ˜­ I checked the front and back of all of the leaves. I dropped 91% Isopropyl Alcohol down the stalk šŸ˜…, where each leaf meets the stem, and wiped anything white off each leaf with an alcohol damp paper towel. Before I noticed the pest tonight, I set up a humidifier for the tips of a few leaves that started yellowing. Should I turn the humidifier off until Iā€™m sure the pests are gone or does it not matter?

    mealys are the least bad pests imo. just remove them as you see them and keep this plant away from others for a while. check the other plants around it really well. they key is to just stay vigilant until you stop seeing them!

    I know this is so off topic, but where did your moss pole come from?! I love it!!

      No worries, and thank you! I bought the moss pole on Etsy from plvntly. I have the XL Anchor Kit (8 inch diameter) and XL Poles in Beige.
