My alocasia suffering effects of overwating. The soil was changed and it has since gotten better however the leaf of the larger plant began drooping. It firmed up after watering but has started drooping again.

Hi, I’m not by any means an expert, but I always start diagnosis of my own plants by 1) checking for signs of root rot or pests. Any shriveled, dark, mushy roots should be carefully pruned with sterilized scissors. 2) make sure the soil at the bottom of the pot is not soaked - it should be moist but not dripping water when you squeeze a handful of it. I usually use plastic mesh window screen to cover the drainage holes, then use a 1/2” a layer of sand (depending on the size/depth of the pot) to make sure water doesn’t pool at the bottom of the pot. 3) While you have access to the soil also use a magnifying glass to check for any pests or larvae. 4) You may also consider amending your soil with added perlite to increase aeration and more rapid water drainage. Other plant peeps may have other suggestions. I’ve had good success with these techniques and hope they help.
