Hi someone please help so my little aloe was not looking great really droopy and the app told me I needed to switch the soil out due to overwatering and of course my ADHD brain didn’t remind me to do that until like a week later so when I pulled it out of the soil the roots were bone dry and all fell off. All that’s left are these two little stragglers I don’t even know if they’re alive or not should I chop off the end, Let it callous and try to water propagate it to grow new roots or? would appreciate any advice!🖤

I would just replant it in a chunkier soil and well draining pot

Think those roots will be okay? I have perlit, peet moss, and potting soil would a combination of either all or just a few of these would work and if so, what would those combinations be? I am a struggling new plant parent

You could ammend the potting soil with a lot of perlite. Like almost 50/50. Adding in some larger chunks like orchid bark. My usual mix for dry area plants is fox farm ocean/bark/charcoal/pumice/sand/perlite/gypsum/ Mycorrhizal. I would avoid any of the cactus soils if they are heavy on peat. Sol soil has a good gritty mix.

As long as they are firm, they should be fine. And as long as it doesn't start rotting, it should grow new ones

Make sure you don’t pot it in the same pot as before. Since there’s way less roots it needs a much smaller pot or else the excess soil can hold onto water
