Yellowing is usually caused by overwatering and the black spot looks like some type of fungal desease? Make sure you’re not overwatering and if I were you I would try to mix some hydrogen peroxide and water and put it in a spray bottle to sanitize the plant

Cut off and mushy stinky roots and spray remaining roots with 3% peroxide, you don’t have to rinse it off or dilute it with water. Both spots look like fungal to me. Water only when the soil is like 50-75% dry to prevent overwatering 🫶🏻

0개 좋아요You can find fungicide at any nursery or on Amazon. But honestly yours is so little I wouldn’t use fungicides yet. Just keep your leaves clean and dry, and your soil is drying out at least 50% before watering again. It’s better to take preventative measure rather than treatment because the fungicides can be really harsh on your plant in the long run.

좋아요 1개Just gently remove the plant from the pot and look at the roots. (You don’t want to mess with the root system too much) If the roots look black, mushy or smell its root rot. If the roots are white and firm they’re normal and healthy. If the roots are healthy this is most likely a fungal/bacterial infection. This is caused by misting, Alocasias like high humidity but not water sitting on its thin leaves. Try using a humidifier or pebble tray instead.
