hi all! I got her a couple weeks ago and her leaves have been slowly turning crusty. Shes in full peat moss from the nursery and I don’t want to disturb her roots by changing it out. She’s under a plant light for 12 hours, should I move her? Is it too bright of light? Shes making me sad and I don’t know if I should just chop her and let her regrow
I say just wait, if problem continues try chopping her, if that also doesn't work, buy a new one.

Is her soil hydrophobic? If not (since u have her in water) I would say there is almost definitely too much light since she’s crisping maybe check her roots (don’t move them or touch them just take her out and see if she’s root bound and needs more space
Her soil is not hydrophobic and her roots look amazing but she might be a little root bound. Does that impact the crispyness?

Its too much light. I have this and it gets indirect light during the day and a little dappled direct in the evening and its doing well. Move her further from the light and see if she starts to recover. If your light is adjustable for strength you could also go down a notch if it doesnt effect other plants nearby
0개 좋아요 I don’t think it would unless it’s like extremely extremely rebound and there’s barely any soil, but I don’t think that’s the case. It’s probably just the lighting then 12 hours is a lot.
