I need help! I went on vacation for about 9 days and placed my Xanthosoma Lindenii near an east-facing window before I left. The window had blinds closed but curtains open, so I’d say it was getting medium light. I watered it right before I left, but when I got back most of the leaves are yellow and crispy :( I suspect it’s due to under watering or too much light?.. we did have a heat wave the last few days before I got home, so maybe the intense sun scorched the leaves and it didn’t have enough water. I had a Calathea right next to it though and it’s totally fine.. Either way, any tips on how to best save this plant?? I already gave it a thorough watering as soon as I returned. Should I just chop back the dead leaves? I am relatively new to plants so any advice is welcome!

    Yes cut all the yellow and brown leaves off at the bottom of the plant.

    Cut off the dead leaves. That includes the greenish yellowish ones; you don’t want those leaves to sap the energy off the healthy remaining ones.

      Agree with cutting bad leaves off, and soon a new leaf will appear from the bottom.
