AshleyThe lighter edges are new growth. Brown is dead. I wouldn’t be concerned if it’s only that one area. You can remove the dead branch

Mine kind of does this. You just have to trim the brown parts off regularly. If the dead parts fall in the top of the soil, pick those out and throw away too. It just requires a little grooming to look nice I find. I also try to turn mine regularly. I kind of blame lighting for some of the browning.
