I got this peace lilly about a month ago as a gift for Mothers Day it had a lot of yellow leaves and the flowers were droopy. Since then it had perked up and is growing new green leaves, should i leave the yellow ones or trim them off??

    Personal choice, I think. Don’t believe removing them will hurt the plant. I’m still learning a lot, but this seems like the right advice…

    For me, once the leaves get over 50% yellow, I cut them off

    Once the leaves turn yellow they are no longer conducting photosynthesis, eventually they’ll dry out and fall off on there own but you can always cut them off, even if you have ripped leaves cutting them will send growth hormones to the plant and spurs new growth

    Yellow leaves that aren’t rotting are slowly returning their nutrients to the plant, if you want to do the “best” for the plant, I always trim yellowing leaves once the yellow starts to fade to a uniform brown.
