My begonia almost died when it got here 6 months ago. It dropped all of the lower leaves. Now it looks like a little tree. It has stabilized and it has three more new leaves growing right now. My question is, if I want to cut this back do I need to cut it all the way down? If I did cut it all the way down would it grow back from the base? Where should I cut this so it doesn’t continue to just be a “tree”?

WOW she is gorgeous! Something funny just happened with my begonia, I put her under a humidity dome and she started developing areal roots from all her nodes. Perhaps yours will do the same? Then you can cut the lower branch and replant her further down? My begonia grows roots like breathing 😆

They trail! If it really bothers you, you can cut it. But those things when they get big they usually have a couple inches of no leaf at the bottom. I have 4 different begonias and they absolutely will suffocate their own leaves once they get dense enough
