My Money Tree seems to be sick!!! I’m new to being a plant mom and don’t know what to do! I water it when planta tells me to water it. It has plenty of natural light as it’s right by the window. The area doesn’t get too much sun where it could kill the plant. I have had about 7 leaves fall off that were a brownish yellow! A party of me thinks the pot is too small and the plant doesn’t haven’t anything room for roots but I genuinely don’t know! Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated!!!

    I would see how the roots look and look for rot. Yellowing usually means too much water. I personally do not use the planta schedule. They like to dry out completely before watering

    I second the first commenter. I only use the planta schedule to check the soil dampness. I recently ordered a 3 way meter that measures the pH, the wetness level, and light level. I'll include a picture if interested

      Some of them r only 2 way, but this app also has a light meter. So its up 2 u.

    I can see from far away that soil is super wet. If the soil is wet, dont water it, even if planta tells you to. Press the snooze button.

      I just watered it prior to taking this photo, but I think too much water may be the problem! Thanks so much!

    I use a well draining soil mix for mine (equal part orchid bark, perlite and soil). I stick to the Planta watering schedule, but I think it works because the soil is very loose and it drains very well. I worry if you have a very compact soil, and you’re following the planta schedule, it may be too much. The money tree also loves good sun. I have mine by an east facing window so it gets really good sun for several hours. I think having it right by an east facing or west facing window is ideal. The money tree doesn’t mind being a little root bound but the pot does look small. You can try going up a pot size. This is a finicky plant, I’ve had mine for a year now and I finally feel like I’m getting it right. 😀
