Need suggestions please. My monstera was overwatered and drowning. I repotted it with fresh potting soil, mixed in some of the original soil for familiarity, and removed the dead/rotten roots in the process. Pruned the dead leaves after repotting. Watered it very, very lightly about a week ago. Followed all other recommended care instructions, but it still looks rough. Is there hope for it? What else should I do?

This may be bold, but it is a suggestion. I would trim it and try to water propagate some of the stems. If these were to die, hopefully you would have some of the propagations flourish.

i would also recommend this always when talking about plants in high stress. At least that way the plant can continue on if you fail on this. Regarding the plant, i would say give it a bit of time, it may be under a lot of stress and showing it like that
