      Due to the end of its life cycle or too much water? I read that these “sweetheart plants” are sold without nodes, so they don’t last forever. Is that true?

      from too much water. you’re right, they do not have nodes so they won’t ever grow beyond this single leaf (the plant it comes from is called a hoya kerii) — nothing lasts forever but they shouldn’t rot
