    That looks like a thrip. If it is then yes it could kill your sweet William. I would get neem oil and spray the leaves and soil, they need to be killed.

    The picture isn't very clear. I suppose it could be a thrip but usually if there's one there are hundreds. I would just hose it off and see what happens it could be just a random bug on your plant. From what I can see your plant looks quite healthy.
