With the type of pot I have I can’t feel the bottom of the soil, but I always make sure that the top couple of inches are dry before watering

Try putting a clean bamboo chopstick to the bottom of the pot for around 2 minutes. If it comes out clean, you can water. If it comes out dirty or wet, dont

Bay Area Plant Momhow long have you had it? start lifting your plants and getting to know them! after a while you can tell by the weight of the pot if it’s still wet or not.

Amy Morgan GraceI sprinkle food grade diatomaceous earth into the soil of mine. There’s silica in it and it helps them with firmness. Also, it’s a natural way to kill pests. Good stuff.

saritamy new leaves come in soft like this sometimes, but will perk right up! i’d give it some time before taking much action
