This foxtail fern and I need some advice! As you can see it’s lost a lot of stems over the years, especially during the hot summers. Do you think if I take it out to basically repot it, that I can remove these woody stems without damaging the live parts? Is it possible to clean it up and make room for new growth? Any advice welcomed to restore/recovery!

    The dead parts may have corresponding dead roots filling up the pot. I would remove the plant and cut out all the dead parts including the dead roots. I would replace all of the soil. I would reduce the pot size to allow 1 inch of space around the healthy roots. I would add rooting hormone powder, SuperThrive Plant Vitamins and liquid fertilizer. I would water when it’s mostly dry and regularly fertilize. 🪴🍀
