I have this moth orchid, and when i bought her, she had every flower and looked pretty overall healthy, but then about two weeks after i got her some of her flowers began to wilt and then fall. Can somebody tell me what i might be doing wrong, or if this is normal? She’s watered twice a week, and i always make sure all water drains out of her soil before putting her back.

I wonder if she’s getting the correct amount of light? I had one in my room that wasn’t doing well until I moved it to a different window.

I keep the window half shut, and make sure she doesn’t look burnt, but maybe?

I gave my orchids to my mom to put in the kitchen window. It faces west and almost no real direct sun. They didn’t do well in my east window that all my other plants love. Not sure if they’re all like that.

I think your watering it 2 much your not suppose to water them very often especially when they are flowering… but I’m pretty sure 2 times a week is too much well I guess depending on where you live …

It depends on the pot size. I water my orchids every 10 days

I agree. Sounds like too much water.

Your orchid is gorgeous 😍 I have found they over pack them with peat for distribution to hold moisture while sitting on the shelf. You should pull her out and check under the hood so to speak. I transfer mine to straight orchid bark and water every 10ish days or looking ashy.
