Trying to figure out if these are natural growth bumps on my English ivy or if it’s scales. Any advice would be appreciated!

KadesIf the stem looks like that at every node those would be adventitious roots. These are a big part of why they climb so well. They can kinda look like insect eggs for a while 😂
