My pilea keeps dropping off its bottom leaves😭thought it was just the natural life cycle at first until I realized they don’t grow back! I assume the plant is healthy cause it keeps sprouting up babies in the base but maybe I’ve been giving it too much direct sunlight?

Maybe overwatering? Check the roots. Pilea gave me a hard time too 🥲

Mine is doing the exact same thing! It dropped a bunch of leaves, but now it’s growing little babies through the soil, I’ve just been keeping an eye on it, and watering only when the soil is dry on top. Mine also sits in a window sill where it gets about 6hrs of direct sun

give it way more support. it looks heavy and leaning! this will help and also possible over watering.

I read in another thread that a plant will do this to provide more energy to the new growth up top and so it doesn’t necessarily mean there is an issue with how you care for it

Mine does this too! I learned that they hate getting their leaves wet so I started bottom watering and they started dropping less rapidly. They still drop, but a win is a win lol
