Hi everyone! Wanted to get an opinion! During spring mass repotting, I accidentally repotted three plants into the wrong soil (long story). It’s regular (outdoor) potting soil, so while not the worst thing in the world, these plants would probably prefer something different. None of them look extremely happy right now, but then again, they’ve just been repotted and it was the first repotting for all of them. Do you think it would be better to repot in more suitable soil, or wait a while and let the plants recover from stress? Which is the worst of two evils! 😆 Appreciate any opinion. Plants are: parlor palm, imperial red philodendron, and thanksgiving cactus. Thanks!

    shock is a lot easier to treat than root rot. i say switch them back right now 🤷‍♂️

    Repot sooner than later and deal with the “tantrums” now lol

    The biggest difference between outdoor and indoor soil is the use of organics (which provides nutrients outside but struggles to break down inside and just rots instead and stays wet.) I would repot just to prevent the rotting lol

    Update! - thanks for the great advice! All plants doing way better now after repotting with correct soil! 😊
