My coworker’s plant is not doing too hot!!! The soil is really wet and in a window (south I think). Can we save him?

You can probably save him. Start with a repot. Check the roots. If it has root rot, then it's been overwatered and needs fungicide treatment. If the roots have dried out dead sections, then it has been underwatered and the soaking soil was done to help save it. (Judging by the leaves, it looks dehydrated.) Give it fresh soil and a pot with drainage. Depending on the size of the remaining roots, you can do the same size pot or downsize. Next give him a trim to remove any definitely dead leaves (leave partially dead leaves for now and remove them a few at a time as the plant recovers.) Put it in bright indirect light, or slightly less light since it's stressed. If it seems to have been overwatered, then let it have a day or two before watering. If it seems dry, then give it a 20 minute bottom-watering soak and then make sure it drains thoroughly

She can be saved, but needs a repot ASAP. The soil being wet is a problem, I’m sure the plant is dealing with some root rot, can you add a picture of the soil?
