Hey!! I’m quite new to the whole plant stuff. I got this a few weeks back and it was doing amazing. I repotted it, got new soil(come with fertilizer in it. Tropical mix) and it stays in front of my balcony doors with the curtains open throughout the day. I water it when the app tells me to, spray it too. Can anyone help me figure out what is going on? The leaves are slowly all changing to a bright green/yellow colour and wrinkling up. Not rough feeling until it drops off. So far, only one leaf has dropped, but right now there is about 4 leaves changing to the colour I described. It was right under my AC vent, I moved it away but still in an area where it gets sun. We have had cloudy days lately as we are currently getting snow. Any tips and tricks is MUCH appreciated. Any more info needed, I will gladly try to give.

I had a hard time my first go around with a money tree - and then I learned they have this root holder left on plant from plant nursery. 😖

hii, the pot looks too big. When you repotted, did you remove old soil and put it in a bigger pot and mess with the roots at all? They have very shallow roots 2-4” below the soil line, and inside a big pot, it can struggle to drink all of the water you give it. Over time, the roots rot

Hi! When I repotted, I don’t remove the old soil or mess with the roots at all. I just gently took out the plant from the plastic pot it came in, and the soil came out with it too. I added new soil(I believe it was tropical mix soil) so it could fill up the pot. Maybe I should repot it into a smaller one? This one does have drainage holes at the bottom but maybe the pot is still too big?

I wouldn’t move it again. Trees get very stressed out from moving, unlike leafy aroids. I would cut back on watering if everything else is the same. It needs a 10 day period usually of wet then dry. As for sunlight, I’ve kept mine outside and in full, direct sunset light - they can handle intense light. If it was too much, you would see patches of white, not the uniform yellowing. Uniform yellow is usually roots related - whether the roots are stressed, thirsty, or too wet is the tricky part 😭

I’m just guessing here, I think it is getting too much direct sunlight? My money tree gets some morning sun but is a few feet away from the window. It seems to be very happy with that.
