Hi! My Echeveria has been infested with some kind of black fly? so i was wondering what i should do, if there’s anything i can? it’s already isolated on a window downstairs, and has been for several months anyway. any help would be really appreciated, Thank you so much!
I’ve had a couple fly infestations myself recently. Just so you know, they are apparently attracted to the smell of rot, though that doesn’t explain my latest minor infestation. I have found manually killing each one you see actually works if you do it for a few days. They’re pretty slow, thus easy to squish or spray with Raid. Repot into fresh soil if the infestation is out of control. They don’t repopulate like fungus gnats do because they seem to be picky about where they nest, and I think they have to be pretty mature to lay eggs.
