I imported a Philo patriciae and some anthuriums. I know anthuriums do well since they have chunky roots but my patriciae did not look too hot. - I cut almost all of the roots off from dry rot. The ones left are brown outside but all tan inside. - The leaves got some cosmetic damage from shipment but are still useful. (I checked for pests, I don’t think that’s what the yellowing is from) I currently have it in a glass vase with Leca and stratum (water filled below root line). I usually do perlite and stratum for rehab anthuriums but didn’t have any on hand. 1. I’m not sure if I should just chop it up between nodes and treat it like multiple propagations or leave it in its current state or do something else. I have a cabinet greenhouse but I’m hesitant to use that since it should be quarantined …but it’s too big to fit in my quarantine greenhouse. I think it’s also too big to put in a box or clear bag :/ Any advice is appreciated!

That sounds like it should be fine, except the humidity issue. Maybe a humidifier by it. Or misting 2-3x a day for 1-2 weeks, then start cutting it back

Since you ditched any soil it came in, pests would just be anything laid in the leaves themselves.

I freaked out and switched it to moss instead next to my humidifier. Idk what it is about this specific plant, I’ve never had issues caring/acclimating ANY other plant 😭

Honestly any of the strappy plants, philodendron or anthurium are usually a pain. Can relate

See that’s the weird part. My anthuriums are doing great. I’m trying to find a supplier in the US for a mature patriciae because this is the second time it did not ship well.

Have you tried Fontanimals or Eucegenera? Both would be imports. Fontanimals usually acclimates them well first. Ive been really impressed with anything I've gotten from them. Eucegenera, id not recommend shipping if its too hot or cold. They don't insulate properly. But they have decent priced imports, especially if you do the palmstreet auctions

He’s got some listings on fb but they’re only a percentage of what he has. I think he ships if you aren’t driving distance to Oceanside (I drove an hour to get there) if you’d like a link or info lmk!
