Hi! I make my own pest spray, it’s neem oil, peppermint Castile soap, hydrogen peroxide & water. When using on my plants do I have to wipe it off after?? Or can I just spray and be done? Also, I noticed this yellow spot on my manjula pothos that I’ve never seen before. This plant has always been super happy and pushes out tons of new growth. I repotted it about a month ago. What do yall think caused this yellow spot? Thanks in advance!

Do you spray your plant with neem oil early in the morning or late at night, I know the sun will burn your foliage.. I never wipe my neem oil off however, I spray my plants at night or early before the sun come up

I usually spray at night or early in the morning as well. I’ll make sure to continue to do that so I don’t burn the leaves!

Soaps and neem oil can cause build up and clog the pores of your plant. If your mixture is very diluted this will be a slow process. Wipe off the leaves every so often after you use it and you should be just fine

Cleaning your leaves is good for the plant but you don't want to wipe off your pest spray before it does its job. You don't need to wipe off neem or horticultural oil. You should spray your plants in the morning or early afternoon. This allows the leaves time to dry. Having moisture on them all night can produce molds and fungus. Also never have your plants in the Sun because then they can burn especially with neem. I would just trim those two yellow leaves off and not worry about it unless it develops on other leaves.
