Both my tineke and ruby rubbers newest leaves seem to have little nibble looking scars on them. No signs of any spider mites or any other tiny pests. Anyone know what that might be? Thanks in advance!

Couple of possibilities: • Edema • Flat mites • Thrips • Nutrient deficiency Thrips are visible so they would be the easiest to rule out if it’s not them. They’re black and have long, skinny bodies. Flat mites are microscopic. Has the plant had stunted growth? An easy treatment for flat mites is using a spray bottle with 1 part isopropyl alcohol, 5 parts water, and a drop of dish soap. Spray on/under leaves, then use a brush or cloth to spread it across the leaf and stem. Repeat 1-2x a week. (Same treatment for thrips) Edema is tricky to diagnose but is caused by overwatering. Does the soil dry out between waterings? Lastly, nutrient deficiency - does the plant get fertilized? Hope this helps!
