What am I doing wrong with these plants? The prayer plant I ordered online about a month ago and showed up in rough shape to begin with. The philodendron was doing good when I first got it in September.

If you are talking about the drooping, that’s usually a watering issue. Either overwatering or under watering. Only you would be able to tell which it is by checking the soil and recalling when you watered.
0 likesI water when dry. The leaning and stunted growth on the philodendron is what I’m more curious about.
0 likesThey don’t look that bad to me! What are you referring to that’s going wrong?
0 likesThe philodendron is leaning to one side 😔 the prayer plant might be okay it just looks sad to me lol
0 likesIf I’m recalling right, the prayer plant is tropical. Is it not a Calethea? If so you may want to increase water frequency a little. Maybe water when it’s dry just an inch deep? Or just when the soils is almost dry. Or you can increase humidity with a humidifier or water misting in the mornings. I’m in Southern California so I do that to my Caletheas every morning. And the philodendrons like to dry out between watering and should perk up with a good watering and misting. I have a couple that will start to darken and leaves will curl slightly, then I do a full watering and give them a mist, and they become whole new plants for a week or two lol. But I would frequently check the soil because humidity levels will hugely impact how often it needs watering. Mine sometimes need to wait a week, sometimes just a couple days!
1 likeThank you! I sometimes feel like this app has been having me over or underwater so I’ve been just trying to water when it’s dry. I do mist and use a humidifier for my plants though!
1 likeGoogle the plant type to get ideal humidity levels! It may not be enough humidity but if you’re waiting a long time to water, it might be too much! Mine wilt because our area is so dry! So it depends on where you live and your home’s levels. But yeah these two plants have different soil moisture needs :)

The calathea prayer plant looks good. The philodendron may just be trying to follow the sun
