Hi this is my piper betle prop that I recently got from one of my neighbors. It had roots and planted it in a chunky soil mix. Went all good for about a month. Now, I have no idea what these little black dots are, the white ones are definitely sap that I thought not to worry about. But when I googled it might be a hassle to treat it. And I want to know what the black dots are? Please I live at my sister’s place, and I don’t want any bugs in the house 😭. How do I treat it? TIA🙏🏻

Hi, they grew a lot for a week and just stopped growing. After my yesterday’s “isopropyl alcohol treatment”, the black spots didn’t come back as of now. And I quarantining the plant for now.

I have had experience burning my plants with alcohol, so be wary of that. I know a lot of people can do it I however wasn’t successful lol. They also make fungicide that will help with that too. Just if you ever need in the future. Good luck ! 👍🏼
