In the app, find the plant and mark it watered. If its a normal plant, it's generally fine. If it's a plant I know can be super picky about hydration, I will move it to a spot with less humidity and more airflow so it dries out quicker, remove it from cache pot if it has one. Detrimental, I will repot it in dry media.

By over watering you mean you water too often?

Depends on a few factors and the kind of plant. If you notice the symptoms, u gotta take it apart unfortunately. Cut off the rot from roots and remove any foliage that is damaged. I recently had a mishap with my baby rubber plant. And unfortunately those brown like crazy from the stem and climbs up.. Had to cut off props and start fresh because it was almost totally gone... If U realized u did before symptoms I have to agree with wolfen. If the last repot was very recent and it isn't settled yet OR is due for one anyway, u can also do that and adjust the watering, but I wouldn't use a repot as the first option in certain scenarios because of the shock it can put the plant thru.

If the pot has drain holes you should be good. Just let it dry down before you water it again. If it has no drain holes lay the pot on its side and prop the bottom up just a little so that water will run out of the pot. If this plant is sensitive to root rot there's not much else you can do other than replace the soil which I would avoid unless it was absolutely necessary since it's the low light time of the year.

You really can't give a plant too much water if there's a drain hole and you don't water it too frequently.

You might have to be a little careful depending on the soil composition. If it’s all potting mix, with no amendments, it can hold too much water even with drain holes. So this is more of a…it depends…

What do you mean by you overwatered your plant? You want to make sure that you use well-draining soil and a pot with drainage holes, and when you water, you typically want to saturate the soil, allowing the water to drain through the holes… and then allowing the soil to dry out over time before you re-water the plant. Overwatering typically refers to watering too frequently, and not giving the plant the time to dry out. If you keep the soil wet/waterlogged all the time (which many people accidentally do lovingly), you prevent the roots from getting oxygen, and bacteria and nasties can set in…aka root rot.

So I was watering it like that. It was going to the bottom and it was going to the bottom for like two or three minutes, but that’s what I mean.

That should be fine. You want to saturate the soil. However, it should be well draining enough that it doesn’t stay saturated for too long.
