Thank you! Ordering some now because apple cider vinegar + a cherry isnโt doing it anymore ha.

0 likesThanks for the reply! Iโve used the yellow butterfly sticky traps, and they were miserableโฆ They stuck to absolutely everything! (my hands, my clothing, my hairโฆ You name it, it stuck!) But the worst part, was that it stuck to some of the plant leaves, and they tore when I tried to remove the butterfly traps. That was the end of the butterflies. But, the ones that you are using on the yellow card that you stick in the soil, Iโve seen those used before and was very interested in them. I checked Amazon, and they donโt carry We The Wild products. But I guess I can order them from Google, as you did. Again, thanks for your post. Regards. ๐๐๐ชด

0 likesgnats loooooove sphag moss so you might be fighting an uphill battle
2 likesYeah Iโve been noticing that. But hereโs the dilemma then. Those are my lemon and lime trees and they need high humidity. I live in Alaska (really low humidity in the winter. So like 8 months of the year lol) Per husband, Iโm not allowed to use humidifiers anymore ๐ Iโve got pebble trays under all my humidity plants and Iโve used a hygrometer and itโs not changing the humidity hardly at all. If at all. So my next solution was top layering w sphagnum moss. I used a hygrometer for that and it works! Raises the humidity by at least 10. So what do I do if not using sphagnum moss? I really would love to hear what anyone/you has found for that ๐
1 likeI have a handheld steamer that I give my humidity lovers a pass with every once in a while โ or maybe you just get the humidifier anyway (a small one that maybe he wonโt notice lol ๐)
3 likesDefinitely, remove the sphagnum moss. It dries slowly and provides a breeding ground for the gnats.
1 likeSame question I asked of Carbs person, Iโd love to hear from u too! ๐
1 likeGet the humidifier. Get a small one. I have an old aromatherapy cold diffuser similar to the one in the picture. You can use it without essential oils to provide cool mist. Place it near the plants. Leaving the moss will likely see root rot from the slow drying of the soil. Larvae of fungus gnats will thrive on rotting roots. Thatโs why you can fill up the yellow sticky plastic in a short time. Good luck!
