I have such a hard time with my monsteras! They’re all leggy - yes, not the right sunlight. But they always just have one long blanch. There’s never a grouping of off shoots. How do you have it procreate? Will a sunlight lamp help save my plants?? Thank you!!!

I don’t have any Monstera’s specifically so I’m not sure how rooty they are but they look like they might need bigger pots (should be about 2” of soil surrounding the roots to give room for growth) or if you’ve repotted them recently and know there is more than enough space, I’d suggest increasing fertilization.

There will not be a grouping unless you chop it and then again there is a chance you get just one offshoot. To have several stems, you would need to propagate and repot in the same. Is the new set up on the left or on the right?

Monstera are actually fruiting plants, believe it or not! However, the amount of branches you get after a chop is kinda random. I got two on my thai con, but only one on my standard deliciosa. there's really no way to tell.

Monstera acts more like climbing vines than plants with trunks and branches. They are epiphytes that climb structure like trees and stones to reach light in their native tropical environment. It’s unusual to get multiple branches off one vine especially in this juvenile stage. You can take cuttings and propagate in water. Then, put the rooted cuttings back into the same pot, as Snail Diva suggested, if you are looking for fullness. Also, this variety grows fast and does better on a moss or coco coir climbing pole. 🪴🍀

Monty here. I never followed the size up 1-2” bigger than the previous. Once I put him in the big pot he’s in currently. He has gone wild. 😝 it’s going to be time to repot in spring again. 😬
