I've never been the best at keeping spider plants, and my current one is getting crispy leaves at the tips, any suggestions? I had a relative suggest moting it further from the window (was right in the windowsill, is now 5-6ft from window), but I haven't noticed any change from doing so
Mine get brown tips too. I read somewhere they are sensitive and might prefer distilled water so I'm going to try that with mine.

if you have hard water where you live that could be it. could also be low humidity
좋아요 1개I have the same problem with mine and the nursery told me to increase the frequency of fertilizing to weekly (liquid fertilizer). I haven’t tried it yesterday but that’s the advice I was given.

Yes, they are more sensitive to the fluoride and chlorine in tap water. Same with calatheas. Like the others said rainwater or distilled water is great. I use southside houseplant tap water conditioner added to my regular tap water. I was skeptical at first, but after using this for a year I can say it works!
