Hello!! I just picked up this sedum Lineare Carpet, I think its other name is lemon ball, on clearance. I wanted to know what’s the best plan of action to help this big guy. He doesn’t have any bugs or anything, but just lots of brown bits in the middle where sun doesn’t reach.

Im pretty sure that is a plant I had last year. It’s an outdoor four season plant. I tried growing it indoors and was not successful.

I see, once it’s summer I’ll see if it likes the outside too thank you!

I have these too, though much smaller! You can be absolutely merciless with them and they'll bounce back just fine. Wherever it's getting long and spindly, cut it. It'll put new growth out either on the same stems or on new stems. While these are fast growers, it can take a little patience with trimming & regrowing to get them into the shape you want while also having them green & full. After that, just try to water it when it needs it and fertilize regularly, and it'll be fine.

I have snipped pieces off my mother plant and stuck them in little pots of soil to make new babies, I've transferred cuttings to outdoor planters and transplanted rooted cuttings outside as well, I let one sit on my bathroom counter for months (literally, 3ish months), realized it was shrinking and would die if I didn't, potted in perlite and coir, and grown a new plant out of that over the course of maybe 2 months... Seriously, this plant will make it easy on you, so think about how you personally would like to grow it and then experiment and see how it goes. If this were mine, I'd leave it for a month to acclimate and then start messing with it, but I'm also overly confident with this plant as it's been so fun and easy to grow. Have a great time with it; it's very rewarding.

Hmm, or I'd cut it back pretty brutally, make like 3 more pots with the cuttings, and let it regrow. Sorry for comment-bombing you with this, it's just one I couldn't find any info on when I got a cutting of it originally and I just learned by trial and error that it's super easy and fun to grow.

Don’t mind the comment bombing I love it! I appreciate all the information! Any and all information helps a lot since I’m new to plants, first time I’m actually able to keep them alive!
