    It is, I'm unsure why companies think this is a good idea but it blocks photosynthesis and isn't lovely for the plants

    unfortunately yes, you can try and scrape the paint off otherwise it will probably die from the lack of sunlight

      yea id js try and wash it off it can be a lil plant rescue

    To get the paint off you might could use rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover

    I got one as a gift about 4 years ago and it grew out of the blue but it took some time and in the summer I kept it outside. This was last summer and this year I have notice it has a few babies. I didn't scrape it off I just let it grow and it's doing good now. Good luck

      There is some babies in this picture too. They are just a lot bigger now

    Like some people said above, this is companies trying to market to people to buy plants because they’re “cool colors” but in reality you’re right it’s just spray paint🤦🏻‍♀️ I would recommend trying to get it off very gently and if you can’t and it seems to be doing OK just wait for the colors to grow out as sometimes the plant will be all right. So sad😭
