I have had this Birkin Philodendron for about six weeks. It started out looking great, but this white leaf got a brown spot on it. The brown spot has grown. And now I noticed a brand new leaf that is just starting to come out has brown on it as well. I have been careful (I thought) not to overwater her. She is planted in the same pot as a lipstick plant, which seems to be doing great. What the heck is going on here? 😢 About 18 feet from a big west facing window. But grow light is on 14 hours/day. Great drainage.

I think your growlight is scorching the white. You could try to move it further way or lower the time. Supplement with Silica has greatly reduced white leaf damage on my almost too. The only other thing possibly is humidity, browning new leaves can be mechanical damage from too dry. But I think its the light

Thank you VERY much!! I appreciate your reply. I’ll move the grow light farther away. 👍🏻👍🏻💕
