I took some cuttings off my main plant (inch plant) and some I propagated in water and some I just stuck in the soil…are they doing okay? What are the brown spots on them? I know this app can probably tell me, but I don’t have the money to pay for it, so if ya guys could help, that would be great on tips!

In my experience, brown spots on Fantasy Venices are really common. Is the soil the cuttings are in damp or dry? Fantasy Venice’s seem to need relatively damp environments. I’ve actually had the best luck reducing brown spots with no soil/completely Hydro with a fantasy Venice. I wash the vase and change the vase’s water (and dilute dyna gro foliage pro fertilizer in the water) once a week and trim roots/stems as needed and that seems to prevent the most brown spots for me. It will get brown spots if I neglect changing the water for a few weeks. They seem to be pretty sensitive to uneven watering conditions. I’ve also done one in a self watering pot with a cotton cord for wick. some of the brown spots could also be just physical damage but that seems less likely. The pot with the cuttings also seems to be a little large for the size of the cuttings in it so there’s a chance it could be overwatering. But stems with brown spots will tropically still grow and you can always chop them when they’re long enough. Green vase is just water. The hanging plant is soil with a wick system (leaves are paler because it doesn’t get as much light). Good luck!
