Definitely remove the dead leaves. Then, give it some time to adjust to the transplanting and keep it out of direct sunlight.
좋아요 1개Ponytail planet (Beaucarnea recurvata), slow growing,hardiness 9, 10, 11, flower color white or yellow. Damaged leaves should have the tips trimmed off back to healthy tissue. Plant in catus succulent mix in a pot to keep roots potbound due to it’s slow growing. Report once @ year for growth for larger plant. I don’t have one this is what I found.

좋아요 1개The pot size looks too big. There should be about an inch or two of space between the trunk and pot. Check online photos of these plants from sellers to compare the size. Reduce the pot size to reduce excess moisture and soil. Cut or pull off the dead leaves. Let the soil dry completely since these plants store water in their trunks. Also, fungus gnats won’t survive well in dry soil. The soil is staying too wet if you can support fungus gnats. They like full sun at least 8 hours a day. Move to a south or west window. I have a very old plant that gets full morning sun and partial shade the rest of the day. 🪴🍀
