Plumeria tree leaves turning brown- I just brought inside from my balcony, I’m wondering if it’s from the sun? It’s a really hot week with 90+ temperatures so I’m wondering if it’s sunburn and how I can help?

My best guess is sunburn like you said, unfortunately color won’t really come back in the crispy spots but the green in the rest of the leaf can still photosynthesize. My dad just had this happen and I took it in to my “plant hospital” and I cut off the crispiest ones so that the plant doesn’t waste energy to them in hopes that that energy can go towards reproducing healthy leaves. My best amateur advice would be to snip that mostly brown one and leave the leaf that is mostly green, not sure if anyone would have a different opinion. Sorry for the book 😂

Thanks! Do you think I should keep off my patio for the week or keep it in full sun? My dad said it should be fine since they’re native to Hawaii, but I don’t want all of the leaves to end up like that😭

If it is used to being outside and doesnt usually have issues it probably will be ok, maybe increase your watering frequency to keep up with the heat, and try to keep it in the shade if possible
