Very new to ZZ plants. Is it normal for my ZZ plant to have a single tall stem? I bought two back in March and both have single stems that have gotten very tall and today one of them drooped over the the side. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong. The first two pictures are of the one plant that is drooping and the last picture is what it looked like in March.

My plant is a bit larger than yours and has the same thing. I believe it’s normal and as the plant grows it will just even out. (This is mine, when I got it, it just had the bottom short leaves.)

Was yours always that full though? Do you have one plant in the pot or multiple? I am not sure if I going through a weird growth time with these plants ir if this is just what it is like for everyone 😊. I didn’t realize I would need to stake or trellis a zz.

No it just slowly started to grow more and more full over time. Your bird of shouldn’t need a support unless it gets very tall and starts to fall. When more of your plant grows each stalk will get larger and support each other.
