I moved my Fittonia and elephant ear into my bathroom with a grow light hoping that helps with their humidity… their leaves are just continuously dry even with a small humidifier next to them 🥲 Is there anything else I should try? I live in New Mexico and our air is constantly dry here…

Hi there, it’s a bit hard to know how to act without knowing the actual humidity readings are. Have you got a digital humidity meter available? If not, I would recommend using one. This will tell you how “bad” the situation really is. It’s possible that the small humidifier was insufficient for the plant. It’s also possible that the issue isn’t really the air but the situation at the roots. For example, that pot looks a tad too big for the fittonia. You may also need a different soil for your colocasia if it’s not chunky and aerated already (sorry, hard to see from the pic). Hope that gives you some ideas. Best of luck! 🌿🌿🌿

It definitely gives you some actual data to work with :)
