Help! Skinny here is not doing well. She is in the bathroom in a filtered glass window. I repotted her about a month ago and I try to keep her soil moist. Any recommendations on how to save her? Or is it a lost cause?

Plant Fatheris your tap water chlorinated? prayer plants are incredibly sensitive to excess minerals and chemical additives in their water. if your tap water is treated and you can’t collect rainwater, i would recommend filtering it and treating with an aquarium water conditioner. filtering the tap water will remove most of the minerals and chemicals and the water conditioner will dissolve any remaining chlorines/chloramines. many will recommend distilled water, but i advise against it as it’s quite wasteful and very expensive (at $1-2 per gallon, you may end up spending hundreds on just water)

ChrissyAlso, does she have enough sun? She needs part sun/part shade. She’s also considered a “hard” plant to manage so cut yourself some slack. Try the filtered or rain water and see if she improves.

She’s by a window that is opaque with morning sun. I read that that’s a good place for this type of plant. I’ll try the rain water and hope she perks up.
