Part of the stem of my monstera has started turning yellow. Got it about 3 weeks ago with most of the brown and yellow spots already there. Repotted it in an admittedly too large pot with well draining soil. Should I be concerned?

Is it the thin bit where another leaf grew out of?

Monstera’s don’t mind big pots, well draining soil is fine. I wouldn’t worry too much. Just keep taking care of it and give it some time. They don’t really grow very fast. It’ll recover really well with misting regularly (unless it’s in a bathroom, which should create enough humidity) and the appropriate light. I would trim the frond with brown on it. Do it at the base UNLESS the the brown frond is the top frond. Give it time to grow another frond and then trim it. Does that make sense?
