Anyone have any idea on what’s going on with my tomatoes. They get full sun from about 11am until sunset. We HAVE been struggling with cucumber beetles. Could this be bacterial wilt? ☹️ Some of the plants are ok but most are wilting. I water them every other night with the hose

Make sure they actually need water before watering them but tomatoes can also be super picky. If a weed killer has been used near them the wind can carry some onto the leaves or roots and cause them to get curly leaf and look pathetic. They also get about 3-4 bounties of tomatoes before they start to get weak and die off.

Yeah I have no idea what is up. The rest of my plants look fine. All my peppers and squash etc. there’s a couple of plants that look ok, not really wilted but most of them are. I don’t see any pests or anything how frustrating

Watering every two days sounds like a lot especially if the temperatures are below 95°F. Overwatering (and inconsistent watering) can cause yellowing and wilting. I agree that checking the soil for dryness before watering is the best method. Also, the plants look bare for that height. Tomato plants of that height usually are full of many branches. Were branches cut because of wilting? Are they getting regular tomato fertilizer (acidic) or manure/compost side dressing at the base of the plants to boost growth? I’ve found that fertilizer and even organic compost boost the growth and yields in edible plants. 🍀🪴

The soil was cracking so I assumed it was really dry. I’m going to hold off and see. I did break some bottom branches as I’ve heard they are just sucker branches and don’t produce fruit and aren’t needed. I haven’t taken any from the top though…just the very bottom of the stem. I have fertilized maybe 3 times with Grow big fertilizer from fox farm.
